Triplet

A triplet is a set of three items. Triplets are generally used to log and track:

• Sender host's IP address (IP connection)
• SMTP session MAIL FROM: verb use (sender identification)
• SMTP session RCPT TO: verb use (recipient information)

When added to a database, a triplet typically tracks an IP address for Greylisting purposes.
