Talk:Sender Policy Framework
From ASSPSMTP
All good information about SPF, but how does ASSP use it?
Specifically, is there a way to make even emails from whitelisted addresses be marked or blocked if they fail an SPF check?
Or a way to ensure that emails that do pass SPF for certain domains are always passed?
- ASSP follows the SPF specification for its use. Its checks DNS TXT records for data, and acts according to the SPF response to the record. Under the SPF options section of the configuration, there are options for handling whitelisted addresses. Whitelisted addresses or domains are always passed unless they also fail an enabled function that invalidates the legitimacy of the message - like SPF. --ME2 18:07, 27 February 2007 (MST)
